Prior Lake Boys Swim and Dive Shines at State Championships

The Prior Lake High School Boys Swim & Dive team made a huge splash at the State Championship, bringing home a STATE TITLE, multiple record-breaking performances, and a third consecutive Top-3 team finish!

The team secured 3rd place overall at the state meet for the third year in a row, proving their consistency and excellence at the highest level of competition.

The 200 Medley Relay team of Ethan Kosin, Owen Beaudette, Griffin Leining, and Braxton Helmers raced to victory, earning the STATE TITLE with an All-American time and a new school record.

Several Lakers delivered standout performances. Jamey Solt placed 3rd in the 200 Free, while Braxton Helmers finished 7th in the 200 IM, setting a new school record. Ethan Kosin secured 2nd place in the 50 Free with an All-American Consideration time and a school record. Griffin Leining took 5th in the 100 Fly, and Solt placed 7th in the 500 Free. Kosin also earned 2nd place in the 100 Back, setting another school record with an All-American time. Owen Beaudette placed 4th in the 100 Breast, also setting a school record, while Maddox Mork finished 8th in 11 Dive.

The Lakers continued their dominance in relays. The 200 Free Relay team of Beaudette, Ondracek, Leining, and Solt placed 2nd, earning an All-American Consideration time and a new school record. The 400 Free Relay team of Solt, Leining, Ondracek, and Kosin also took 2nd place, setting another school record with an All-American time.

Other state finalists included Matt Ondracek, who finished 16th in both the 200 IM and 100 Back, Owen Beaudette, who placed 7th in the 50 Free, and Braxton Helmers, who finished 8th in the 100 Back.

With 13 All-State performances and 6 athletes earning All-American cuts, the Lakers showcased their strength, depth, and determination.
