PLSAS Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools has again been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). This national recognition highlights the district’s strong commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and clear communication with the community.

The award was earned for the district’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, reflecting a continued commitment to accurate, thorough, and accessible financial reporting.

Earlier this year, PLSAS also received the ASBO International Meritorious Budget Award for the 2025–26 fiscal year, recognizing the district’s commitment to clear, transparent, and well-communicated budget practices. In addition, the district received a clean audit opinion this fall—the highest rating possible—meaning its financial statements were found to be accurate and complete, with no findings or concerns noted by auditors.

Participation in the program is voluntary and signals a district’s dedication to the highest standards in financial reporting. Each submission is carefully reviewed by a panel of experienced financial professionals who provide detailed feedback to help districts continuously improve. 

This recognition reinforces Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools’ commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources.
