Living our Mission with Laker Pride

Academic Paraeducators Being highlighted during a School Board Meeting

The Laker Pride portion of the February 9 School Board meeting highlighted the incredible impact of Academic Paraeducators in our district.

Glendale Elementary Principal Jennifer Molitor and a Academic Paraeducator Charline Lanzenby shared how this role is making a difference for students through real-time, in-class support grounded in academic achievement data. By collaborating closely with teachers, building strong relationships, and using thoughtful questioning to promote reasoning and learning, they help ensure students receive targeted support during grade-level instruction.

This work is strengthening mathematical confidence, accelerating growth, and advancing equity—while maintaining high expectations and creating more opportunities for every student to succeed.

Business Office and Communications Team recognized for work on the ASBO International Meritorious Budget Award

During the Laker Pride portion of the January 12 School Board meeting, we proudly recognized our Business Office and Communications team for their outstanding work on the ASBO International Meritorious Budget Book—earning the district the 2025 ASBO International Meritorious Budget Award!

For the second year in a row, Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools has received this national honor for the 2025–26 fiscal year, recognizing our commitment to clear, transparent, and well-communicated budget practices. The award reflects high national standards for accuracy, accountability, and public understanding, as reviewed by experienced school finance professionals.

This achievement highlights our ongoing dedication to responsible financial stewardship and open communication with students, staff, families, and taxpayers.
