SROs back in our schools

At the April 8 School Board meeting, the PLSAS School Board approved the joint resolutions with the Savage and Prior Lake police departments, which formally allows us to re-establish our partnerships with them. Because of this change our SROs were able to return to our schools this week!

Officer Baker (at HOMS, TOMS and Bridges) and Officer Kelch (at PLHS) were thrilled to be back in schools this week forming relationships with our students and are fully immersing themselves in our school communities, to promote positive decision-making, and friendships.

April is National Occupational Therapists Month

During the month of April we are celebrating National Occupational Therapists Month and the contributions that the PLSAS Occupational Therapists make in our schools.

Occupational Therapists are key members of a school team. They contribute towards students’ overall ability to participate in daily school activities. They support students' to reach both academic and non-academic achievements by addressing the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and sensory components of performance.

Thanks to all of our awesome PLSAS Occupational Therapists for all of the amazing work that they do!

Annaliese Cundiff named 2024 Athena Award winner

Prior Lake High School senior, Annaliese Cundiff, is the recipient of the 2024 Athena Award.  The Athena Award is given to one senior female athlete from each participating school who has distinguished herself in special individual athletic achievement or superior achievements in one or more sports.

Annaliese has participated on the PLHS Swim & Dive, and Track & Field teams for the past four years where she earned a Varsity letter in both sports in each one of those years. She has achieved 11 diving records and holds the Section 2AA diving record! She was also named captain of both teams during her senior year. Annaliese has been a Board Scholar for the past three years, and is also on the National Honors Society.  Annaliese will be honored at the Athena Awards luncheon on May 3 where she will be presented with the award in recognition of her effort and dedication to athletics.
