High School
Prior Lake High School was named one of the best high schools in America by Newsweek based on its quality teaching staff along with its Advanced Placement and college-level course offerings.
Technology is integrated into the curriculum, including online and hybrid online course electives, along with SMART Board technology. In addition, all students receive a school-issued iPad as an eighth grader in our district, or as a freshman if they are new.
Students also choose from a full range of English, science, math, social studies, PhyEd/Health, fine arts and world language offerings.
PLHS is committed to the E-STEM initiative through programs such as EcoTeam, Project Lead the Way engineering program, robotics and more.
The high school offers Advanced Placement courses with increased pace and content depth designed to prepare students for post-secondary education.
