SchoolCafé

1. Download the SchoolCafé app for Android or iPhone
2. Scroll down and select “MN” and type in “Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools” then click “Go to My District” 
3. Click “Create a new account” 
4. Follow the prompts— enter your name and choose a password to create your account
5. Enter your student’s ID, which can be found under the student's photo in the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.
6. Enter your child's school

1. Click on the SchoolCafé button at the top of this page or click here
2. Select “Create a New Account”
3. Select “I’m a Parent”
4. Enter name and contact information and then select “Next”
5. Create a username and password you will easily remember, and confirm the password
6. Select a Security Question and Answer
7. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and then select “Create My Account”
8. After you create your account a banner will pop up. Click “Verify your email”
   1. SchoolCafé will send a verification code to the email you entered. Go to your email to retrieve the code and enter it in the verification code field and click "Enter."

Add Student(s)

9. At the top of your dashboard, select “Add a student”
   1. Enter your student’s information as requested. You will need your student’s ID, which can be found under the student's photo in the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.
10. Select “Search and Verify Student”
    1. Verify the student found is accurate and select “Add this Student”
11. Repeat these steps to add additional students.

1. At the top of your Dashboard, select Make a Payment
2. Enter payment dollar amounts for each student as desired and click Checkout
3. On the Checkout screen, confirm the total and select an existing payment method or choose Add a New Card to add a new card
   1. When adding a new card, you can enter your card's details and either save the card (making it your default payment card) or simply use it for a one-time payment.
4. When you have confirmed all details, select Submit to complete the payment. 

• Payments to student meal accounts may take up to 24 hours to be processed.
• Deposits must be at least $20. Parents do not pay any fees to use this service. 

1. From your Dashboard, locate an individual student on your account and select the blue text next to 'Automatic Payment' (the text will either say 'Not Set' or 'Set for...')
2. In the first field, enter a Payment Amount. This amount will be paid automatically.
3. In the next field, enter a balance threshold. This tells SchoolCafé how low the student's balance must be before the payment will be made.
4. Select a payment source or select Add a Card to add a new card.
5. In the last field, confirm the date that the Automatic Payment will expire. (Note: this date should be before your payment source expires)
6. Select Save

1. From your Dashboard, locate an individual student and select the blue text next to 'Low Balance Alert' (the text will either say 'Not Set' or 'Set for...')
2. In the first field, enter a balance threshold. This tells SchoolCafé how low the student's balance must be before a low balance alert is sent to you.
3. In the next field, enter how often you would like to receive a reminder that the student's balance is below the threshold. This is helpful in case you miss an email or alert.
4. Select Save

• Students who qualify for free or reduced meals will receive free or reduced-priced breakfasts and lunches.
• Families must submit an application each school year or have a direct certification from the state. 
• The Minnesota Department of Education provides the Child Nutrition Services office with information for families receiving MFIP (Minnesota Family Investment Plan) benefits or SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which qualifies these students to receive free meals automatically (directly certified) without applying. The information is received monthly. If you do not receive a letter stating that you're eligible for free meals, an application must be completed each school year.
• The district follows strict rules to protect a student's confidentiality for those that qualify.
• All kindergarten students are eligible for a free breakfast, paid for by the State of Minnesota.
• You can apply or re-apply anytime during the school year if your household circumstances change.
