2023 Survey Results
The PLSAS Student, Parent/Caregiver, and Staff Experience Surveys were administered in February, 2023. This was a new survey that we rolled out this year with our partners at Studer Education. Administrators will share specific school and department results with staff. After this roll out, each school/department will celebrate what is working well and develop action steps for improvement to continue into next year. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey; your feedback will be valuable to our continuous improvement.
Student Experience Survey
3,734 students completed the survey.
The district mean was 3.86 on a 5-point scale.
Areas that are working well include:
- I believe my learning is important at my school.
- I feel my family is treated nicely or with respect at my school.
- I have opportunities to be successful at my school.
Areas for us to focus for improvement include:
- I like going to my school each day.
- I feel students are nice or show respect to each other at my school.
- I set learning goals and track my progress.
PARENT/CAREGIVER Experience Survey
2,799 parents/caregivers completed the survey.
The district mean was 3.87 on a 5-point scale.
Areas that are working well include:

Areas for us to focus for improvement include:
- I receive positive phone calls, emails, or notes about my child from the school.
- I believe school rules are enforced consistently at this school.
- I regularly receive feedback from school staff on how well my child is learning.
EMployee Experience Survey
798 employees completed the survey.
The district mean was 3.68 on a 5-point scale.
Areas that are working well include:
- I believe my work positively impacts those we serve.
- I have a clear understanding of my expectations as an employee.
- I work in an organization where employees regularly share and exchange ideas.
Areas for us to focus on improvement include:
- I feel that organization-level resources are allocated to maximize effectiveness across the organization.
- I believe organization-level information is communicated in a timely manner across the organization.
- I have the opportunity to provide input on decisions that affect my job.
- I feel that resources in my immediate work environment are allocated to maximize effectiveness.
